William Simpson was born in Stirling and was brought up in Denny, a small town nearby.
He spent almost 25 years in the Civil Service before leaving in 2008. He is currently working in the menswear department at Marks and Spencer in Guildford where he is responsible for the tie department - you could say he is the King of Tieland!
William joined Radio Lion in 2000 and over this period he has presented Sunday evenings 'Patients Chart Show', Thursday evenings 'Jock Around The Clock' and currently Tuesday evenings 'Lifestyle'.
After a break for some years from the management committee, he is back as Membership, Training and Testing Co-ordinator, a job which he throughly enjoyed in the past.
When he's not involved with Radio Lion he enjoys socialising with friends, a wide variety of music, films, amateur painting and animals - especially his cat Katie, affectionately known as 'Katiepuss'.
