Graham Russ

Graham Russ is Farnham Surrey born and bred and has enjoyed a keen interest in music from an early age, playing trumpet in various orchestras throughout the county since the age of 9. Graham picked up the guitar whilst studying at Loughborough University and hasn't put the 6 string plank down since, writing and performing self penned songs and lyrics with several duets and bands nationwide.

It was at Uni that an interest in radio also blossomed, becoming involved with LCR (Loughborough Campus Radio) and taking part in various BBC Radio Leicester initiatives. This interest prompted Graham to join Radio Lion after graduating in 2006 and he was soon devising and presenting the eclectic 'Patient Request Power Hour' on a weekly basis whilst recording artist and genre specific biographies for pre-record airplay.

Graham has been absent for the last 16 months, travelling the southern hemisphere but has returned fresh faced with many new songs and stories to share with Radio Lion listeners.

Long distance running is also on the agenda. Graham completed the 2007 Flora London marathon in 2 hours 46 minutes raising over £800 for Breast Cancer Care in the process, with future plans for the New York marathon in the pipeline.
