Dave Bremner

Dave Bremner was born in Scotland a long long time ago! He joined the Army and qualified as a PT Instructor. On leaving the Army he joined an Arts and Crafts Company, where he still works to this day as a Purchasing Manager.

A keen sportsman, Dave played for a variety of football teams in the Guildford area.

Dave joined Radio Lion in 1983 after seeing an article in a local newspaper. His first programme was presenting a two hour Country Music show, which he readily admitted he knew nothing about, but within two or three programmes had built up enough knowledge to wing it, this was on a Friday evening and he then followed on with another music based programme for another two hours, four hours of Dave Bremner eight until midnight on a Friday (fightening!).

Dave loves the music from the Motor City (Detroit, Motown) and his first ever interview for Radio Lion was with Mary Wilson, one of the original Supremes.

Dave is still in contact with Mary and they meet up when she is in this country. Since then Dave has interviewed Kriss Akabussi, Petula Clark to name but two.

Due to work commitments Dave took a break from Radio Lion in the early 90's and returned in 1999. He presented a programme on a Tuesday evening with Jax Davis called Tuesday Cruise. Dave is currently taking a break from the microphone.
