Studio Complex Plan

Studio Complex

This is our compact studio complex situated on the lower ground floor of the Royal Surrey County Hospital. We have two studios both capable of live broadcast and an engineering room.

There is a line of sight between both studios and a talkback system allowing presenters to communicate. When a microphone is live a red light illuminates to let others know they need to be quiet. Each studio can accommodate a presenter and a co-presenter or guest.

We are able to broadcast phone in interviews on air from both patients making requests and guests out and about visiting local events.

We have an extensive record library ranging from Abba to ZZ Top. There is a computer index to help find songs on CD and a card index to help find songs on record.

The engineering room is home to what we call the "tardis" which is full of equipment that keeps us broadcasting 24-hours-a-day!
