Andrew Cross Awards (2003)

Shelagh Godwin scooped a second award for a feature in which she interviews a former patient, Rosalind Mason, about her battle with and miraculous recovery from cancer offering encouragement to other sufferers.

Shelagh Godwin and Angie Boxall were awarded with an Andrew Cross Award and certificates for excellence in religious broadcasting in 2002 for their feature on the eclipse over Africa.

Radio Lion won the 'Best Non-Music category' in the BT Hospital Radio Awards in 1996 with its documentary of local peoples memories of the second world war.
